Democratizing the creation of training content

 

Repsol’s Learning and Development team was managing a continuously growing training demand. For years, content production relied heavily on external vendors, resulting in long turnaround times and high costs that limited the team’s ability to respond quickly.

 

The need was clear: to accelerate and scale internal training autonomously, enabling Repsol’s own internal experts to create and share knowledge quickly, independently, and with professional-quality results. To achieve this, they needed an authoring tool that was simple enough for non-technical users with no instructional design background, yet powerful enough to ensure pedagogical quality and brand consistency.

 

This challenge materialized in early 2025 with the launch of the Repsol Trainers Network: an initiative involving nearly 1,000 employees aimed at turning them into training enablers within their respective areas. These trainers take on specific roles: fostering a learning culture, delivering both in-person and virtual training, energizing team communities, and above all, creating and digitalizing training content.
